Description
2002 Custom 73′
Jambalaya
“Jambalaya” is a 73 ft. wooden Staysail Schooner built in Carriacou in 2002. Her traditional wooden boat construction is blended with the latest nautical technology and outfitted to the highest standard. She was fully refitted by her previous owners in 2010, works included fitting a new engine, new mechanics, new electrics, new plumbing, etc.
In November 2017, “Jambalaya” was hauled out and painted. In October/November of 2020, she was hauled out for some hull plank restoration work. For this work, the original boat builder was enlisted to do the repairs. Any and all soft wood was replaced. “Jambalaya” is in excellent condition.
“Jambalaya” is a 4 times winner of the Concours d’Elegance at the Antigua Classics Regatta and line honours on day 3 in 2017. She is offered for sale due to the owner’s change of plans during the Corona virus restrictions. Also offered is the associated charter business, making her a ready to go charter operation as soon as travel restrictions are eased. Inquire for details.
